She then went to the University of Texas-El Paso as an Education Major. While at UTEP, she took ballet classes with Andre Harper and a jazz class with Myron Nadel. As part of her education studies, she also took several courses on physical activities for young children. Nohemi returned to Hallmark in 2000. She came back as a jazz and hip-hop student. She then eventually became an instructor for the younger children. Nohemi received her bachelors degree in 2003 in Early Childhood Education. She is now a state certified Kindergarten teacher. Of her many accomplishments, she is most proud of attaining Campus Teacher of the Year. "The best part of having been at the studio this long is having been able to see all of the different dancers and instructors that have come and gone. I hold a special place in my heart for Hallmark because this is where I grew up. Here is where I learned many of the things that I know now. It has also been amazing to see the first students that I taught. They have grown up and become awesome dancers." |
